Die Ausstellung AMT – das Private im System beschäftigt sich mit dem Moment, in dem private Lebensrealitäten auf Verwaltung, Formulare und institutionelle Abläufe treffen. Es geht um Ämter, Bürokratie und die oft sehr konkreten Erfahrungen, die damit verbunden sind: warten, beantragen, nachweisen, erklären, ablehnen, widersprechen, nicht verstanden werden.
Bürokratie ordnet und regelt. Sie kann schützen, unterstützen und Zugänge ermöglichen. Gleichzeitig kann sie Menschen überfordern, kontrollieren, ausschließen oder beschämen. Wer Hilfe braucht, muss sich oft offenlegen. Wer Ansprüche geltend macht, muss Beweise liefern. Persönliche Geschichten werden in Akten, Nummern, Fristen und amtliche Sprache übersetzt.
AMT – das Private im System fragt danach, was diese Begegnung mit Menschen macht. Welche Spuren hinterlassen Bescheide, Formulare, Warteschlangen, digitale Portale, Stempel und Zuständigkeiten? Wo entsteht Ordnung, wo Ohnmacht, wo Absurdität?
Der Open Call richtet sich an FLINTA* Künstler*innen.
Gesucht werden Arbeiten, die sich mit Amt, Bürokratie und Verwaltung in all ihren Facetten beschäftigen. Willkommen sind persönliche, politische, dokumentarische, humorvolle, kritische oder poetische Zugänge. Alle Medien sind möglich: Installation, Video, Sound, Performance, Malerei, Fotografie, Text, Objekt, digitale Arbeiten und interdisziplinäre Formate.
Bitte reicht eure Bewerbungsunterlagen als eine zusammengefügte PDF-Datei unter submission@gruppegorgone.de ein.

Die Datei darf maximal 10 MB groß sein.
Bewerbungen, die nicht den genannten Vorgaben entsprechen oder unvollständig eingereicht werden, können leider nicht berücksichtigt werden.
Die Ausstellung befindet sich aktuell noch in Planung. Ein genauer Ort und Zeitraum stehen noch nicht fest, sie wird jedoch in Berlin stattfinden. Da die Finanzierung noch offen ist, können wir derzeit leider keine Honorare zusagen.

The exhibition AMT – the Private within the System looks at the moment when private realities meet administration, forms and institutional procedures. It is about offices, bureaucracy and the often very concrete experiences connected to them: waiting, applying, proving, explaining, being rejected, objecting, not being understood.
Bureaucracy structures and regulates. It can protect, support and provide access. At the same time, it can overwhelm, control, exclude or shame people. Those who need help often have to expose themselves. Those who make a claim have to provide proof. Personal stories are translated into files, numbers, deadlines and official language.
AMT – the Private within the System asks what this encounter does to people. What traces are left by notices, forms, waiting lines, digital portals, stamps and responsibilities? Where does order emerge, where powerlessness, where absurdity?
The open call is addressed to FLINTA* artists.
For the exhibition, we are looking for artistic works that deal with offices, bureaucracy and administration in all their facets. Personal, political, documentary, humorous, critical or poetic approaches are welcome. All media are possible: installation, video, sound, performance, painting, photography, text, object, digital works and interdisciplinary formats.

The file must not exceed 10 MB.
Applications that do not meet the stated requirements or are submitted incomplete cannot be considered.
The exhibition is currently still in development. The exact venue and dates have not yet been confirmed, but it will take place in Berlin. As funding is still pending, we are currently unable to guarantee artist fees.
