GRUPPE GORGONE und CALCIU SPACE laden FLINTA*-Künstler*innen aus Bukarest und Berlin ein, sich für die Gruppenausstellung freeze: MEMORY in den Atelierele Scânteia in Bukarest zu bewerben.
Die Ausstellung bringt drei künstlerische Positionen zusammen. Ausgewählt werden zwei FLINTA*-Künstler*innen mit Wohnsitz in Bukarest und eine FLINTA-Künstler*in mit Wohnsitz in Berlin. Die Eröffnung findet am 24. September 2026 statt.
Erinnerung ist oft flüchtig und wird von Familie, Orten, Bildern, Geschichten und gesellschaftlichen Strukturen geprägt. Manche Erinnerungen bleiben lebendig, während andere bruchstückhaft werden, sich verändern oder verschwinden. Persönliche Erinnerungen überschneiden sich mit kollektiven Geschichten und mit Erzählungen, die weitergegeben, dokumentiert oder ausgelöscht wurden.
Für freeze: MEMORY suchen wir bestehende künstlerische Arbeiten, die sich mit Erinnerung, Erinnern und Vergessen beschäftigen. Dabei kann es um die Frage gehen, wie Erinnerungen bewahrt, verändert, rekonstruiert oder verloren werden. Bewerbungen aus allen künstlerischen Medien und mit interdisziplinären Ansätzen sind willkommen.
Jede ausgewählte Künstler*in erhält ein Bruttohonorar von 10.000 RON, (zum Zeitpunkt der Veröffentlichung ungefähr 1.900 Euro.) Die Reisekosten nach und von Bukarest müssen aus diesem Honorar finanziert werden. Die Unterkunft und der Transport innerhalb und nach Bukarests werden separat zur Verfügung gestellt.

GRUPPE GORGONE and CALCIU SPACE invite FLINTA* artists based in Bucharest and Berlin to apply for the group exhibition freeze: MEMORY at Atelierele Scânteia in Bucharest.
The exhibition will bring together three artistic positions. Two FLINTA* artists based in Bucharest and one FLINTA* artist based in Berlin will be selected. The opening will take place on 24 September 2026.
Memory is often fleeting and shaped by family, places, images, stories and social structures. Some memories remain vivid, while others become fragmented, change or disappear. Personal memories overlap with collective histories and with narratives that have been passed down, documented or erased.
For freeze: MEMORY, we are looking for existing artistic works that engage with memory, remembering and forgetting. The proposed works may explore how memories are preserved, altered, reconstructed or lost. Applications from all artistic media and interdisciplinary approaches are welcome.
Each selected artist will receive a gross fee of 10,000 RON (approximately €1,900 at the time of publication). Personal travel expenses to and from Bucharest must be covered from this fee. Accommodation and local transport in and to Bucharest will be provided separately.

Die Ausstellung AMT – das Private im System beschäftigt sich mit dem Moment, in dem private Lebensrealitäten auf Verwaltung, Formulare und institutionelle Abläufe treffen. Es geht um Ämter, Bürokratie und die oft sehr konkreten Erfahrungen, die damit verbunden sind: warten, beantragen, nachweisen, erklären, ablehnen, widersprechen, nicht verstanden werden.
Bürokratie ordnet und regelt. Sie kann schützen, unterstützen und Zugänge ermöglichen. Gleichzeitig kann sie Menschen überfordern, kontrollieren, ausschließen oder beschämen. Wer Hilfe braucht, muss sich oft offenlegen. Wer Ansprüche geltend macht, muss Beweise liefern. Persönliche Geschichten werden in Akten, Nummern, Fristen und amtliche Sprache übersetzt.
AMT – das Private im System fragt danach, was diese Begegnung mit Menschen macht. Welche Spuren hinterlassen Bescheide, Formulare, Warteschlangen, digitale Portale, Stempel und Zuständigkeiten? Wo entsteht Ordnung, wo Ohnmacht, wo Absurdität?
Der Open Call richtet sich an FLINTA* Künstler*innen.
Gesucht werden Arbeiten, die sich mit Amt, Bürokratie und Verwaltung in all ihren Facetten beschäftigen. Willkommen sind persönliche, politische, dokumentarische, humorvolle, kritische oder poetische Zugänge. Alle Medien sind möglich: Installation, Video, Sound, Performance, Malerei, Fotografie, Text, Objekt, digitale Arbeiten und interdisziplinäre Formate.

Bewerbungen, die nicht den genannten Vorgaben entsprechen oder unvollständig eingereicht werden, können leider nicht berücksichtigt werden.
Die Ausstellung befindet sich aktuell noch in Planung. Ein genauer Ort und Zeitraum stehen noch nicht fest, sie wird jedoch in Berlin stattfinden. Da die Finanzierung noch offen ist, können wir derzeit leider keine Honorare zusagen.

The exhibition AMT – the Private within the System looks at the moment when private realities meet administration, forms and institutional procedures. It is about offices, bureaucracy and the often very concrete experiences connected to them: waiting, applying, proving, explaining, being rejected, objecting, not being understood.
Bureaucracy structures and regulates. It can protect, support and provide access. At the same time, it can overwhelm, control, exclude or shame people. Those who need help often have to expose themselves. Those who make a claim have to provide proof. Personal stories are translated into files, numbers, deadlines and official language.
AMT – the Private within the System asks what this encounter does to people. What traces are left by notices, forms, waiting lines, digital portals, stamps and responsibilities? Where does order emerge, where powerlessness, where absurdity?
The open call is addressed to FLINTA* artists.
For the exhibition, we are looking for artistic works that deal with offices, bureaucracy and administration in all their facets. Personal, political, documentary, humorous, critical or poetic approaches are welcome. All media are possible: installation, video, sound, performance, painting, photography, text, object, digital works and interdisciplinary formats.

The exhibition is currently still in development. The exact venue and dates have not yet been confirmed, but it will take place in Berlin. As funding is still pending, we are currently unable to guarantee artist fees.
