Das Schreiben steht im Zentrum meiner künstlerischen Praxis, die ich durch Performance, Musik und Zeichnung erweitere. Ich arbeite mit der Umdeutung von Formen, in denen sich das Intime, das Biologische und das Soziale miteinander verflechten.
Meine Performance-Praxis konzentriert sich auf die Stimme – gesprochen, gesungen, skandiert, transformiert – im Dialog mit Klangtexturen und minimalistischen musikalischen Formen.
Für diese Ausstellung präsentiere ich On the Highway to the Womb, eine Performance zu körperlicher Lust, die manche Frauen beim Stillen empfinden können – eine Erfahrung, die kaum benannt und schwer einzuordnen ist. Eine ambivalente Lust, die nicht aus sexuellem Begehren hervorgeht.
Der Text, auf Englisch und Französisch, bewegt sich zwischen Sprechen und Gesang und lässt stellenweise der Musik allein Raum.
Parallel dazu präsentiere ich ein Gipsrelief der Jungfrau Maria, auf dem ich Verbindungen zwischen Brust, Gehirn und Gebärmutter sichtbar mache.
WER IST SOLINE KRUG?
Soline Krug ist eine französische Künstlerin, die in Berlin lebt. Sie studierte Malerei an der weißensee kunsthochschule berlin und nahm am Goldrausch Künstlerinnenprojekt teil. Anschließend verbrachte sie drei Jahre in Shanghai, wo sie gemeinsam mit Paul Devautour Post-Diplom-Seminare mitgestaltete. Derzeit arbeitet sie an ihrem ersten Roman, spielt im Theater im Nu, komponiert Bühnenmusik und ist Teil des elektroakustischen Duos hormoneS.

Writing lies at the core of my practice, which I extend through performance, music, and drawing. I work by subverting forms, where the intimate, the biological, and the social intersect.
My performance practice centers on the voice—spoken, sung, chanted, transformed—in dialogue with sound textures and minimal musical forms.
For this exhibition, I present On the Highway to the Womb, a performance exploring the physical pleasure some women may feel while breastfeeding—an experience rarely articulated, difficult to pin down. An ambiguous pleasure that does not stem from sexual desire.
The text, in English and French, moves between spoken word and chant, at times giving way to music alone.
Alongside the performance, I present a plaster relief of the Virgin Mary, on which I trace the connections between the breast, the brain, and the uterus.
WHO IS SOLINE KRUG?
Soline Krug is a French artist based in Berlin. She studied painting at the weißensee academy of art berlin and took part in the Goldrausch project for women artists. She then spent three years in Shanghai, where she co-led postgraduate seminars with Paul Devautour. She is currently working on her first novel, performs with Theater im Nu, composes stage music, and is part of the electroacoustic duo hormoneS.
